Download Festival 2021 Cancelled; Maiden, Kiss and Biffy Set for 2022 Return
Despite being set to return for 2021, Download Festival has again been forced to cancel plans for this year. Read the announcement here.
Despite the recent Government announcement revealing plans for the return of live events and festivals in 2021, this has come too late for some Summer Festivals. Following the news that events like Glastonbury in the UK, along with Hellfest in France, and Graspop in Belgium would not be hosting events in 2021, Download Festival has again announced it would not be returning until 2022.
Organizers for the event, which was set to be headlined by Kiss, Biffy Clyro, and System of a Down, issued the following statement confirming the news while at the same time announcing their return to Donington Park in 2022 from June 10th to 12th with headliners Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Biffy Clyro already in place.
Tickets for 2022 go on general sale on March 5, 2021. For information on refunds and tickets for 2022’s event, click here.
