Love Ghost – “Girl Pusher” [Free Song Download]
Los Angeles alternative rockers, Love Ghost share a free MP3 of their newest single, “Girl Pusher”, which delves lyrically into their own personal tribulations with mental illness, addiction and growing up.
Los Angeles alternative rockers, Love Ghost issued their newest single, “Girl Pusher”, on May 29th and with it delve lyrically into their own personal tribulations with mental illness, addiction and growing up. The ‘90s-inspired tune, much like the group’s sound in general, takes elements of grunge-era hard rock and slaps on a modern LA stamp. Produced by Eric Lilavois, whose credits include Saint Motel and Surfer Blood among others, the song precedes the band’s upcoming, early spring release of their debut full-length which was recorded at Seattle’s London Bridge Studio.
Led by singer and guitarist Finn Bell, Love Ghost is rounded out by Mya Greene (viola), Ryan Stevens (bass), and Samson Young (drums). All four musicians work hard to create meaningful music as evidenced by “Girl Pusher’s” lyrical content which can been seen as a story of abuse as told by the abuser.
Further sample the band’s music via SoundCloud here and sign off with a poignant note from Finn Bell describing the above single: “‘Girl Pusher’ is essentially an abuse story told through the eyes the abuser. The abuser is left with nothing in the end, thus the Girl Pusher is a dead fucker.”
