Vesperia – “The Swordsman” [Free Song Download]
After several months of contemplation and over five years of live shows, line-up changes and other shakeups in the music industry, the four musicians behind the band Vesperia decided that it was time for a change, a big change. So the band changed its name from Bolero to Vesperia and totally tweaked their mentality while they were at it. Just because they’ve made some changes though doesn’t mean that Vesperia is a completely different band. They’re still generally playing the same music, taking their inspiration from the thrash, black metal and folk music that they so love.
The Skinny: After several months of contemplation and over five years of live shows, line-up changes and other shakeups in the music industry, the four musicians behind the band Vesperia decided that it was time for a change, a big change.
Some of the great Bolero elements still remain, including the epic orchestrations, breakneck speed and ear-piercing guitar riffs. What’s new is that they’ve intensified all of these elements and have added more energy to their music as well as their live performances. Vesperia has been preparing the release of their new demo The Swordsman and will have more new music on the way soon. As a treat to all you Vesperia/Bolero fans as well as those who are just checking the band out for the first, here’s the track “The Swordsman” for free download.
