Hot off the heels of Metallica’s breaking news for their ‘Live at Grimey’s’ CD/10″ comes the news of releases from Anthrax and The Damned Things. Both bands, in addition to Metallica, will be releasing Metal Club exclusive items which can be found at participating stores on Black Friday.

Anthrax will be releasing ‘Live at the Sonisphere’ 10″, a picture disc featuring the tracks “Medusa” and “Only” which are live recordings from the Big 4 DVD (a DVD of the day Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth shared a stage in Sofia, Bulgaria). These recordings will be the first with Joey Belladonna as singer of Anthrax in more than 20 years. Meanwhile, The Damned Things will be releasing a 7″ and CD single for their debut single “We’ve Got A Situation Here” including the track “Ironiclast.” The full length debut from The Damned Things, ‘Ironiclast’ will hit shelves December 14.

Charlie Benante of Anthrax had the following to say about independent record stores, “Indie stores are our only hope. People should cherish these wonderful treasures. Go, get lost in an indie record store, you may discover a band or record that could blow your mind.”
