THE BLACK ANGELS Premiere ‘Phosphene Dream’ on MySpace; Footage from David Letterman Show

Following a very successful secret show in NYC on Tuesday, Austin psych-rock quintet The Black Angels stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater last night to play The Late Show With David Letterman. The band put on an incredible performance of their newest Phosphene Dream single, “Telephone,” and even inspired Paul Shaffer and the band to do their own rendition at the close of the show. ‘Phosphene Dream’ hits stores next week via Blue Horizon, but fans can listed to the album streaming in full today on MySpace Music. The premiere is also featured on the MySpace Music home page, which has been taken over by The Black Angels and their tour-mates Black Mountain. The takeover is in honor of “Black Friday,” as both of these noir-loving bands have new albums coming out next week which are currently streaming on MySpace.
