Hey, you! Yes, you! Did you know it was that time of year again?! What do you mean you have no idea what I’m talking about? I’m talking about one of the heaviest tours of the year: The Chaos & Carnage Tour! With an absolute powerhouse of a line-up, I know I speak for fans throughout the country when I say how absolutely excited I am for this tour!

Cattle Decapitation will be co-headlining the tour alongside Chaos & Carnage alum Carnifex as they bring utter madness across the United States starting April 30th in Phoenix, AZ. Joining the two icons as they leave devastation across the country will be Rivers of Nihil, Humanity’s Last Breath, The Zenith Passage, Vitriol, and Face Yourself. When speaking on the Chaos & Carnage Tour’s history, Earsplit PR had this to say:

“Produced by industry veterans Jason Malhoyt of Imperial Artist Management and JJ Cassiere of renowned booking agency 33 And West, the Chaos & Carnage Tour is now in its fifth year. It has become a flagstone in the extreme metal scene, known for showcasing the very best big-name, acclaimed acts from the world of heavy music while supporting incredible new guard artists by providing them with a platform to play in front of larger crowds. Previous years have featured the likes of Dying Fetus, Suicide Silence, Lorna Shore, Whitechapel, Aborted, Revocation, and more, with most shows selling out in advance.”

While the entire tour package is absolutely jam-packed with talent, I’d be doing a disservice by not mentioning just the sheer impact Cattle Decapitation has had on the heavy music scene. The band has released nothing but the heaviest of the heavy since 1999. Let’s be honest, even if you’ve never listened to the band, you know them from their vile and gruesome album covers. This is a band that, one can argue, has set the bar for metal, just like bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and Obituary.

There isn’t a shadow of a doubt that this year’s tour will be the heaviest it has ever been. It might be tough to follow after the 2022 and 2023 editions, but I guarantee that the entire 2024 package will take on this challenge and easily conquer it. Be sure to get your tickets here.
