This was an absolute treat for me as this is one band whom I have wanted to see perform for years, and I have to say that I was not disappointed in the least! Ottawa-based band The Goodluck Assembly performed to a massive crowd on a beautiful afternoon at Bluesfest, opening for Mother Mother and RUSH. Brothers Bruce and Mike Libbos led the performance with a ton of energy and enthusiasm which was reciprocated back by the crowd who seemed very familiar with their music. This band has made a great name for themselves in Ottawa and we hope to see they perform again soon!
Without a doubt one of the sexiest rock sets I’ve ever shot – Grace led the band with so much raw energy and enthusiasm that it made for an incredible set! They performed some of their hits including “Paris” which was a treat for the whole crowd, and really got the audience into the show! One of my favourite sets at Bluesfest this season!
A massive crowd came out to see Marianas Trench on this late sunny afternoon and it was clear that the audience was more than familiar with their discography!
If any band knows how to put on a show and start a party, it’s without a doubt Down With Webster. They performed one of the most energetic and intense sets of Bluesfest 2012, and the crowd was just as wild. A great time was had by all during their performance that’s for sure!
