Commenting on the song, Beca noted, “The title track of the EP In Deep Love starts off as a freestyle jam and morphs into a dark, driving dance beat. It’s a goodbye to the idea of a future together singing “I’ve got to let you go” over and over again. It’s also a reminder to myself that this is the best choice for everyone, even though it hurts.”
