GEARS has released their new single, “My Curse,” to top off their year. “My Curse” takes listeners on a trip to Medellin, Columbia, as Trip Sixx (vocals), Jimmy Wooten (drums), and Josh Rout (bass) have collectively produced a companion video to compliment the strength of their cutting roots, rich culture, and undeniable sound that is distinctly GEARS.

“My Curse” blends a mixture of metal and reggaeton exceptionally well with a modern edge. Once again, GEARS evolves, ever climbing as they bring their music to the heights we now know without question is the measure above music standards.

“My Curse” tells the story of how we carry a dark passenger within us, a curse that reminds us of our imperfections. It is all in how we approach our own humanness. Self-awareness, acceptance, and self-discovery can be powerful.

Tripp Sixx, lead vocalist of GEARS, comments:

“Within each of us resides a curse, a dark passenger that we must bear. It is the unyielding law of balance, a reminder of our imperfections. Yet, in its ominous presence lies the opportunity for growth and enlightenment. We must learn from this shadow, seek to understand its nature, and strive to tame its wild essence. For it is in this delicate dance with our inner demons that true wisdom and harmony shall be found.”
