What is it about Sweden and its long and illustrious history of cranking out so many exceptional rock bands? The Hives, Hellacopters, Abba! Now we can add The Dahmers to the prestigious rock registry. The second single, “Black Widow,” from their upcoming Ghouls In The Garage EP, is instantly catchy, sinks its teeth in and gets inside of your brain.

If you aren’t already familiar, The Dahmers are a Swedish rock‘n’roll sensation with influences from garage punk, classic rock and ’60s pop. A Frankenstein’s monster of music, if you will. Lyrics and aesthetics are inspired by classic horror movies, but you also find emotional exposures about frustration, solitude and alienation, amongst other things, in their songs. They are skeletons with attitude and put as much effort into the visual experience as in their music.

Spaghetty Town Records (USA) and Ghost Highway Recordings (Spain) are co-releasing the XXXXX vinyl single later this year.
