Are you a fan of modern, grungy rock a la Royal Blood? Then, this is 100% for you! Ratty Old Mo’ is the second offering from South African folksy, blues-rock duo, The Amblers. Hailing from the vibrant and diverse music industry in South Africa, the dynamic duo have carved a small but bright name for themselves in the local scene.

Guitarist and vocalist Justin Swart is accompanied by drummer Jason Hinch on their latest offering. The two have a broad range of both local and international musical influences from Southern Gypsy Queen and The Black Cat Bones, to The Rolling Stones and Jack White. Their approach to music is raw but not unpolished, lending an authentic energy to huge drums and dirty, vintage guitar tones. Jason provides an accomplished and powerful framework for Justin to deliver his raconteurish ideas of music and lyrics to a listener.

As the duo collectively state, “Recording this album was so much fun! We didn’t use any samples at all in the production. What you hear is what we played. The album feels real to us, almost as if you are in the room with us. We hope people enjoy it as much as we loved putting it together. We’re also excited to announce the exclusive North American premiere of the new album only at PureGrainAudio.”

We’ve got another song to keep you screamin’. Check out “The Dustling Man”!
