Los Angeles-based/Milwaukee-bred alt-rock four-piece, Big Mother Gig have been getting a fevered response to their recent single “The Great Heist” and today we get to add to the hubbub with this debut of the song’s brand new lyric video! “The Great Heist” follows previous track “Nametag,” arguably the guys’ best performing to-date, and tackles the Trump administration’s first year in office.

Elaborating further on the track and video’s inspiration, the band added:

“The song is inspired by the current administration and the whole Nixon-ness of it all. We all look back at Watergate with a shared opinion that it was a low time for American politics. We think future generations will do the same, they’ll look back and call this ‘The Great Heist.’ We wanted a lyric video so fans could really understand what we’re singing about. We chose the White House blizzard footage as a metaphor, of course, for the current political (ahem) climate in Washington.”

Be sure to also add the song to Spotify!
