The quirky rockers known as Wetbrain hail from Asbury Park, New Jersey and play an alternative, experimental, indie rock hybrid which is pretty dope. The guys dropped their debut album, A Certain Light (buy it here), in May and the song “Pirouettes” is the release’s second single. Already growing their fanbase in the underground circuit, this new animated music video is only going to bolster that growth. Get your stream on and be excited to know that the guys are already working on a follow-up full-length, with a six-track EP called ¡Quebrado! due in November!

Lead singer and guitarist Rudy Meier was kind enough to drop some background info on how the song and video came to be. “I recorded and produced ‘Pirouettes’ myself and animated its accompanying music video. Lyrically, the song focuses on the fear of outcome when presented with a new opportunity. The video reflects this theme in an abstract manner, using a small white ball that ultimately consumes the protagonist.”
