New York’s The Harmonica Lewinskies have not only announced a summer 2017 album release but have also debuted its lead single “Smile Today.” Titled #BringBackBush, sadly the album will mark the group’s – now performing as a sextet, not an octet – last-ever offering.

Why the breakup? Well, a family is a family and this unit lost a key member when Dan McLane passed away on April 28th, 2016. At the time, #BringBackBush was about 90% completed so it must have been a difficult task to finish it up and retain the same level of “joie de vivre and cheekiness” with which their music is infused. This all said, “Smile Today” was, in fact, McLane’s song, so it’s all the more logical that it be the lead single.

Drummer Ollie Fetter said of the new release, “I’d like to remain positive and playful, with a good sense of humor in addressing the truth of the past, while living in the present. We’re excited about future parties and celebrations, jokes, gags, giggles, acid trips, bong rips, celebratory sips, dancing hips, cocoa nips, etc etc etc.”
