Finnish progressive metal quartet Oddland, continue to support the release of their sophomore album, Origin, and are now offering a unique, acoustic take on their song “Unknown”. Filmed and edited by Ville Viitanen, the video was shot in a medieval castle in the band’s hometown of Turku.

Origin follows Oddland’s Century Media-released debut The Treachery Of Senses (2012) which was recorded in part by the band and completed at Fantom Studio (Insomnium, Korpiklaani, Oranssi Pazuzu), then mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir). Commented the band on the acoustic video: “We’ve been fiddling around with acoustics every now and then and really fell in love with the idea of making an acoustic version of a song on Origin. ‘Unknown’ seemed the most fitting candidate, and luckily, we were able to book the beautiful medieval castle of our hometown Turku to record this performance. It was really the perfect choice with the haunting ambience and enchantingly echoing stone walls.”
