Post-punk/psych-noise group Dead Waves first release with new member Jessica Reynoza, formerly of The Willowz, drops today in the form of The Great Clock EP. For the release, the Queens, NY trio teamed up with musician and artist Paul Kostabi, who is known for his work with Youth Gone Mad, White Zombie, and Psychotica. Reynoza’s vocals are a new addition, bringing a mellower approach to elements of the band’s sound.
Whilst Dead Waves started as a pop-infused post-hardcore duo, they have become a dynamic group able to display proficiency in a range of genres. Their sound is now more of a unique mix of psych and industrial noise, with the new EP furthering the band’s distinct sound, which has lost none of its experimental prowess.

BRKN LOVE: “I love heavy rock but it’s all really dark and grim. I miss when rock was sexy and fun.”
