Ottawa, Ontario, Canada’s six-piece rock group The Kindred have shared a brand new single called “Stray Away,” which also serves to introduce new members Johnny McArthur (vocals) and Kenny Saunders (drums).

The band have been quiet since touring in support of their 2014 Sumerian Records release Life in Lucidity. The aforementioned single is the first to be released from the band’s forthcoming new album due out in 2017.

Johnny McArthur commented on the new track, This song is about realising who you are and who you aren’t in the eyes of the people you know and love, and the people you don’t – it’s about taking the coward’s way out and disguising it as bravery. Put a tuxedo on a gorilla and watch it tear apart at the seams while he smiles in confidence anyways.”
