We thought we’d more or less heard it all, then we were contacted by a metal band… from China… that plays Mongolian folk metal… holy fuck! They’re called Tengger Cavalry, they’re a sextet, and they mix, as they put it, “overtone throat singing, Mongolian horse-head fiddle and other nomadic music tradition of North-Asia with heavy metal music, creating an unique music genre.” Well, there’s nothing about that we can’t agree with.
We’re giving away a free download of the group’s song “Horseman” and, if you’re anything like us, this 1 track will be way more than enough to not only have you totally intrigued, but scrambling to find out more about this budding band. It literally took us less than 1 song and we were hooked… get to know these Asian metal warriors ASAP, before you’re only doing so because everyone else already has.
