The Skinny: Toronto psych-punk outfit Cellphone, have just dropped their Pitchfork approved debut album Excellent Condition – stream it below. The LP was featured on Pitchfork’s “Shake Appeal” feature which raved that, “This is aggressive, heavy music that ties together disperate universes: dystopian-future-rock is belied by the more tactile realm of punk rock. A riveting listen.”

Also, as a side note, the album’s artwork was done by Jim Joe who more recently designed the art for Drake’s surprise new release, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Cellphone are currently riding a wave of buzz following the release of their debut album Excellent Condition. Two of the album’s singles, “No Wind In Hell” and “Human Rights,” were featured on Impose Magazine and Brooklyn Vegan respectively, with Pitchfork and Noisey championing the Excellent Condition as well. The band has been keeping busy with shows including an upcoming performance at the 2015 Wavelength Festival in Toronto.
