Canto – “Dirty Water” [SoundCloud Song Stream]

Up and coming Los Angeles garage rock band, Canto, are coming hot onto the scene with a brand new 5-song EP, a follow up to their debut album, HA HA HA. They have just offered up the single off of the Ride Away EP, “Dirty Water” for stream on their Soundcloud (listen below). Although, ironically, “Dirty Water” is a mock homage to Boston, this is Canto’s interpretation of the 1966 garage band classic by another California rock band, The Standells, who some have called the “Godfathers of Punk.” The EP will be available April 9th for free download through the band’s official Facebook page.

The Skinny: Up and coming Los Angeles garage rock band, Canto, are coming hot onto the scene with a brand new 5-song EP, a follow up to their debut album, HA HA HA. They have just offered up the single off of the Ride Away EP, “Dirty Water” for stream on their Soundcloud (listen below). The band is a family affair consisting of three brothers, Seamus Blackwell (Vocals, Guitar), Aidan Blackwell (Bass), and David Blackwell (Drums) who have been heavily involved in music all their lives. Lead singer, Seamus says “I was surrounded by musicians growing up, because of it, I wanted to play any instrument I could get my hands on.”
