Indian School are a rock band consisting of Arturo Barrios (vocals, guitar), Anthony Leach (lead guitar), Justo Gonzalex (bass), Gabriel Camacho (drums) and Eric Wood (piano) that formed out of the ashes of Audio Karate, a now defunct Los Angeles based punk band. That said, it’s highly likely that we wouldn’t be presenting you with a free download of the song “Head Right” today if it hadn’t been for not one, but two unfortunate car accidents that front man Art Barrios endured.

Said Barrios of the accidents: “I hadn’t wrriten music for years before my accidents. After the second car crash, I was bedridden for months… my back and neck were completely wrecked. I just laid there watching Netflix content to do nothing really, when I though, hey… why not start writing songs again?” From tragedy and pain was born triumph and positivity as evidence in Indian School’s new music and debut EP The Cruelest Kind which dropped on March 6th, 2012 via Walnut Tree Records (Cuba Cuba, Tiger Please).
