Kansas City heavy metal band Hyborian have announced some new festival appearances, as well as a string of U.S. tour dates.
Southern metal group Weedeater have just announced the ‘God Luck and Good Speed’ tour, kicking off in the United States on March 15th.
Songs like “Processional” and “Battered & Fried” really let their southern roots shine through. I always liked the use of the banjo on the previous records so it’s good to see Dixie Dave Collins bring that back.
The opening moments of “Tuesday Night,” the first track on …And Justice For Y’All, really shows how Weedeater set the tone for the rest of their career with a familiar wail that proves once and for all that all doom metal did, does and will always start with Black Fucking Sabbath.
Rwake vocalist CT will premiere his documentary “Slow Southern Steel” next weekend at the Little Rock Film Festival. This will be the worldwide premiere of the film that has been three years in the making with additional screening dates to be announced soon. CT directed the film along with David Lipke and will be on hand for the film’s premiere on Saturday, June 4th at 6:50pm at the Riverdale Cinema #1 in Little Rock, AR.
Today the fine folks at BrooklynVegan have posted a brand new track from Weedeater’s upcoming new full-length ‘Jason…The Dragon for the public’s recreational enjoyment. The raging anthem “Mancoon” can be heard at THIS LOCATION, so put that in your pipe and smoke it.
