Day 4 of 70000 Tons of Metal is always the craziest. We caught the All-Star Jam (aka Jamming in International Waters) with musicians from various bands performing classic metal covers.
On February 2, 2017, Round 7 of the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise set sail from Fort Lauderdale, FL. with 3000 fans excited to embark on 4 nights of pure metal debauchery featuring 61 bands on 4 stages aboard Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas.
Simply put, Dawn Of The Nine is full of fantastic riffs that can only be pumped out by a death metal band like Unleashed.
For more than 20 years now the Swedish death metal titans Unleashed have been cranking out their own unique brand of music. Recently I was able to catch up with drummer Anders Schultz to speak with him about the gear he used when recording the band’s 10th full-length release Odalhiem. Here’s what Schultz had to say.
These Swedish death metal titans once again live up to their name by “unleashing” an unbelievably-solid, punishing slab of metal. Odalheim is Unleashed’s eleventh full-length effort to date, and as a longtime fan of the band I can say that of their entire catalog, it’s probably my favorite. While Odalheim might not stray far from the path they’ve forged over the years, this is actually a good thing – Unleashed are one of the most consistently reliable bands in the death metal scene.
