Red Run Art Series (No Blackout Dates) is a mixed-media series by artist Damon Kardon created to celebrate the travelling circus that is the music tour. Package #21 features The Raconteurs and their Third Man Records release, Help Us Stranger.
Out now via Third Man Records, recent The Raconteurs single “Help Me Stranger” opens like you are listening to an old blues 45 stuck in a groove formed from years of spinning and, right when you feel the impulse to move the needle, the song really kicks in.
Cincinnati, Ohio’s rock n’ roll supergroup Cool Life (featuring members of Foxy Shazam, The Skulx, Cadaver Dogs, and Honeyspiders) join us for Stereo Six: a listing of five albums that define who and what they are today, and one unusual curveball.
This Blu-Ray disc captures, The Raconteurs, (fronted by Jack White of White Stripes fame) at the 2008 Montreux festival where they entertained the capacity crowd with their brand of raw, gritty rock and roll. The performance was part of a tour in support of their second release, Consolers Of The Lonely and it really showcases the band in what I feel was the highlight of their career. The movie includes fantastic, passion-filled performances of hits such as “Broken Boy Soldier”, “Salute Your Solution” and many more.
