the pretty reckless

We all know how it works – celebrity decides to get a bit edgy and form a rock band. Genuine rock fans turn their noses up at it and said celebrity generally goes away after a while. I mean, does anyone remember that awful band Will Smith’s wife was in? Exactly. Well, The Pretty Reckless are fronted by Taylor Momsen and, giving her credit, their (well, her if we’re being honest) second album, while being fairly predictable, does have its moments.

Fronted by the talented female vocalist Taylor Momsen, the New York-based alternative hard rockers The Pretty Reckless, are gearing up to release their eagerly-anticipated new album, Going To Hell, on March 18th via Razor & Tie. Rounded out by musicians Ben Phillips (guitar), Mark Damon (bass), and Jamie Perkins (drums), Going To Hell is the group’s sophomore effort and follow-up to the band’s 2010 release Light Me Up. In order to learn more about the new recording, we were fortunate enough to get some time with Taylor and talk gear!

As Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless gear up for the release of their highly anticipated sophomore full-length album, Going To Hell, and the band’s extensive nationwide tour kicking off tomorrow in Huntington, NY (full tour itinerary below), the band has teamed premiered the first single and title track from the new album online. The new song can be heard just below and will go on sale in the U.S. and Canada on iTunes beginning Tuesday, September 24.
