Australia is home to a variety of pretty solid things: the didjeridu, Parkway Drive, and groups of Kangaroos known as “mobs.” In 2010, Australia birthed some more solid in the form of Northlane. Their first album turned quite a few heads. Their second album, I predict, will turn even more heads, with some repeat head turning involved, leaving some people’s heads turned “this way” and others “that way,” but either way, they will be turned.
Vancouver, BC natives West Of Hell’s new full-length album,
This Vancouver, BC quartet featuring lung-master Chris “The Heathen” Valagao is on the verge of devastating the Canadian metal scene with the May 8th release of their debut album, Spiral Empire. To be released via Reversed Records, the disc was recorded in Vancouver at The Factory Studios and was produced by Juno Award winning engineer Rob Shallcross (Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, Zimmers Hole, Fear Factory). The end result is an awesome album that skillfully combines huge amounts of old-school metal influences with a more modern day approach. Check out this exclusive stream of their new song “Singularity”.
