The band combines sparkling hooks and fluid, fluttering rhythms to create psychedelia-tinged garage punk that make heads bob without sacrificing an ounce of sonic bite.

The band – formed by Tony Esposito (vocals/guitar) and twin brothers Nick (drums) and Sam Wilkerson (bass) – combines sparkling hooks and fluid, fluttering rhythms to create psychedelia-tinged garage punk that make heads bob without sacrificing an ounce of sonic bite.

I hadn’t heard from NEEDTOBREATHE in a long time – since The Reckoning in 2011 in fact. Turns out they were not only doing the usual band-y stuff, touring relentlessly and writing the next record. The band was grappling with some serious conflicts that almost broke them up (sibling bands are hard – speaking from personal experience here).

Loud, proud and unashamedly in the vanguard of the new rock explosion are Fiction Record’s newest signings Little Matador. But while they are a defiantly new band, Little Matador have an unexpected pedigree. Formed by frontman Nathan Connolly (guitarist with Snow Patrol), and featuring band members who have previously played in the likes of Idlewild, The Frames, Bell XI and Tired Pony, Little Matador are far from a sensitive indie supergroup.

It all started with an e mail from a publicist that read: “This invitation is not to be posted or shared… and the location must not be revealed in any form of media or social media.” On Tuesday, April 8, Aerosmith affirmed its upcoming “Let Rock Rule Tour” with Slash featuring Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators in a very rock and roll way. The venerated band from Boston played a show on Hollywood’s Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip.

Columbus, Ohio-band Red Wanting Blue announced today that it will make its network television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman on July 18th. The upcoming appearance is a milestone for the band which continues non-stop touring behind its new album From The Vanishing Point. Red Wanting Blue also announced that it will follow-up its recent sold-out NYC show this past February with a headlining performance at City Winery on June 18th. “White Snow” is the latest single from Red Wanting Blue’s newest album From The Vanishing Point.
