Taken from their April 11, 2011 sophomore effort The Road of Awareness, we’re pleased to present you with a free download of the song “Extispicium”. The latest offering from Portuguese death metallers We Are Killing Ourselves was recorded with Daniel Cardoso at Ultrasound Studios in Braga, Portugal and mixed and mastered at Spin Studios in New York City by Grammy award winner Josh Wilbur (Chevelle, Staind, Puddle of Mud, Hatebreed and Lamb of God). Soon thereafter the group would sign to Rastilho Records and unleash this nine song monster of metal unto the world.
Portugal’s pounding, modern metal phenoms We Are Killing Ourselves (or WAKO for short), released their sophomore album The Road Of Awareness in April of 2011. Continued rave reviews aside, to further support the release WAKO and PrueGrainAudio are pleased to present you with the exclusive world premiere of the new video for the song “Drifting Beyond Reality”. Filmed at Gondomar (Portugal) in an abandoned, ruined warehouse, and directed by Rodrigo Fortes, this video musters all the destructive power and technical prowess displayed on the album overall. Equally infectious and groovy, this song boasts concise, surgical technique with a catchy chorus. Take a look!
Starting today, Brave Words hosts the exclusive premiere of “Without As Within” the second track off The Firstborn’s forthcoming album, ‘Lions Among Men’, scheduled for release via Rastilho Records on March 5th, 2012. Listen to “Without As Within” HERE.
The Road Of Awareness is the sophomore release from Portuguese death metal band, We Are Killing Ourselves. I’m not familiar with the band’s earlier work so I was not quite sure what to expect going into this release. What I found was an incredibly heavy, extremely technical and at times melodic death metal record that dishes out a serious auditory pounding.
Echidna I have long been a fan of the thrash metal scene but over the years so many lackluster acts have flooded the scene and in my opinion ‘watered down’ the genre. Every once on a while though a band comes along that stands out from all the others, injecting new life and hope into the scene. So it was with great pleasure that I stumbled across the Portuguese thrash metal band, Echidna and their new release, Dawn Of The Sociopath. This is a record that packs a punch and will have you snapping your neck and begging…
