Today, Messenger (UK) have been awarded “Band of the Day” on TheGuardian.com, the website of England’s most prestigious newspaper. Citing an “ambition that should be loudly applauded, as well as an attention to dynamics and a degree of dextrous musicianship that will delight prog/psych fans,” the post on TheGuardian.com comes in lieu of Messenger’s forthcoming debut album, Illusory Blues, set for international release on March 31st through Svart Records. Today, Messenger (UK) have premiered their new track “Somniloquist” online. The song is the very first to be premiered from Messenger’s forthcoming debut album, Illusory Blues, set for international release on March 31st through Svart Records. Messenger’s “Somniloquist” can be heard via the SoundCloud player just above.

Give Me Rest is the latest release from the North Dakota trio of musicians known as Hands. As a fan of their debut, I was anticipating this album for a while and happily I was not disappointed. The first song, “I Will” quickly sets things in motion with its hypnotic drum beat and unbelievably emotional vocals courtesy of Shane Ochsner.
