Oecist is a band that the vast majority of you haven’t heard of before today. Not your fault though, the post-metal solo project is quite underground and only the true savants know of Oecist. At least, until now. Founded by San Antonio, Texas-based multinstrumentalist BJ Dierkes, Oecist is a solo project of epic proportions. Tucson, Arizona-based metal quintet Lethal Dosage might be signed to the small label Battleground Records, but their sounds is nothing short of massively monstrous! Their new album, Consume, is set to be released on February 25th, 2014 and is loaded with 10 tracks infused with the band’s own brand of hardcore-infused metal. Melding the old with the new, the thrash metal act Hatriot has just released their debut effort, Heroes Of Origin. With none other than thrash metal icon Steve “Zetro” Souza at the helm of this relatively young band, they are prepared to take the metal world by storm.
