In 2008 and 2009 Sacramento, CA rockers Middle Class Rut released a total of 5 EPs. In 2010 they broke that tradition by putting out a twelve track full-length entitled No Name No Color. In case you don’t know about MCR, the project is a duo comprised of Zack Lopez (guitar) and Sean Stockham (drums), who both pull vocal duties.
Fast-rising Sacramento-based rock duo Middle Class Rut have released the video for their track, “Busy Bein’ Born,” premiering exclusively via MTV2 today. This is the second single from their widely praised debut album, ‘No Name No Color’ (Bright Antenna/ Independent Label Group) and follows their breakthrough hit “New Low,” which reached #5 at Alternative Rock Radio. Sean Stockham, drummer and vocalist for the band Middle Class Rut, spoke with me by phone recently about the band’s newest release, No Name No Color. Now that the disc has been released, the band plans on taking to the road with dates lined up all around the world. Here is what Stockham had to say about the new disc and the upcoming tour.
Middle Class Rut, also known as MC Rut, is an American alternative rock band duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Zack Lopez and vocalist/drummer Sean Stockham. They were formed in Sacramento, California in December 2006. After several EP’s, in 2010 they released their first full-length LP, No Name No Color. Their second album Pick Up Your Head was released June 25, 2013.
