On the eve of the release of their thirteenth album, I, The Mask (due March 1st via Nuclear Blast Records and 11-7 Music), we caught up with vocalist Anders Fridén for a thorough conversation on everything about the album and the evolution of this game-changing band.
Having previously featured the tough-as-a-tornado single “Empty” courtesy of Floridian metalcore outfit, Acaedia, it was a no-brainer to help them debut the video for their brand new track “I”!
Shadow Hunters are a two-piece brotherhood of rock hailing from the south west coast of Norway with a new track called “Fire Will Be Free.”
Meshuggah has had such an incredible influence on modern metal. This EP is a remastered release of their 2004 EP, I, which according to their drummer Tomas Haake, was written first as a jam session that was later rehashed and tracked. It’s 21 minutes of groove and polyrhythms that will make your vertebrae bob on different beats.
Before leaving for their first tour in order to promote their upcoming album, London, England progressive metal band Monuments have just launched a brand new track and semi-static clip to go along with it from their upcoming album The Amanuensis. The Amanuensis is Monuments’ sophomore album and follow up to 2012’s critically acclaimed Gnosis. The Amanuensis, at least the title, was inspired by author David Mitchell’s novel, Cloud Atlas. The complex story lines are the perfect analog for Monuments.
