As of late, Canada’s east coast has been a burgeoning birth place for great metal bands. Recently I got the chance to speak with Scott Miller, vocalist and guitarist of The Daisy Anthesis, a hot new band who release an album entitled, Surface And The Sky, via Diminished Fifth Records. I asked Scott about their history as a band, the album and what The Daisy Anthesis has in store for the near future. Here’s how it went.

I met Big James Arensian this year in Montreal, QC and told him how much I dug his Exes For Eyes album, The Amsler Grid. Thankfully he gave me his email so I could send him some questions about the album, the history of the band and how he keeps his distant relationship strong with Dave Sheldon and the others. Blackened thrash metal from deep within Southern Ohio. Formed in 2009 in Laurelville, OH by Jacob and Luke Shively, Dismemberment formed a solid lineup in 2010 with the addition of JD Henderly on bass and Taylor Emerine on drums. The group recorded their first release, The Condemned EP, in the winter of 2010 at Paper Tiger Studios in Columbus, OH and released it independently on March 13th, 2011.

Unleash The Archers recently embarked on their two month trek entitled “Tour Through The AstroWaste” across Canada. During their stop over in Oshawa, Ontario I managed to meet up with vocalist Brittney Hayes and ask her questions about the history of Unleash The Archers, their new album Demons Of The AstroWaste and… a metal Sasquatch.

Lindz Riot, lead vocalist of the Canadian rock band Mary And The Black Lamb, gave me some time to pick her brain about her band and their two releases As The City Sleeps and Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing.
