Isoteos, the new release from Greek black metal band Kawir, is a gem of an album that hardly got any press from any of the bigger publications last year. The disc, which was released in October of 2012, is a fine example of the right way to do black metal and deserves more coverage!

In 2009, following the devastating fires that swept through Greece, as well as many other places around the world, the concept for the Earth Is calling Us EP was devised, and the need to take action and help reforestation was fully realised In December 2010, the EP was released as Katerina’s first solo project with friend Gina playing the guitar, Maria Roka on bass and Tolis Toleas on drums.

Sorrows Path was formed by Takis Drakopoulos (bass) and Kostas Salomidis (guitar) in November 1993. Both inspired by bands such as Memento Mori, Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass, the duo formed a group and shortly thereafter Angelos Ioannidis (vocals) and Kostas Farmakis (drums) joined them; instantly the band began composing and rehearsing material.

2004 found INK with some new members in the city of Salonica, Greece. They continued to build a solid fan base with their powerful live shows in local clubs.
