Recently I was able to catch up with bassist, Nathen Maxwell of the Celtic/punk rock band, Flogging Molly to discuss the their newest full-length release, Speed Of Darkness.
Flogging Molly is a band that knows exactly what their fans expect from them, and their latest release, Speed of Darkness, doesn’t fail to deliver their brand of fast, catchy, semi-traditional folk/punk music. Though there isn’t a lot of new ground covered on this album, songs about drinking, love, death, politics, and history are what this band does best, and the writing has yet to get stale.
Celtic punk ensemble Flogging Molly has just released the video for “Don’t Shut ‘Em Down”, the first single from their fifth album,’Speed of Darkness’, which will be released on May 31st. The politically charged video recently premiered HERE.
