What band has a name similar to a novel and movie? That would be The Devil Wears Prada. Hailing from Ohio, these young-ins have recently given life to five fantastic songs and placed them on an EP titled Zombie. This is the first extended play ever released by TDWP.
15 years ago a metal band, who would later gain worldwide fame, was born from Alaska’s harsh tundra. Today, with four successful albums under their belt and a vast number of tours, 36 Crazyfists decided it was time to release their first DVD. Underneath A Northern Sky, a very appropriately named release, focuses beautiful Alaskan imagery. Music aside, this DVD is a testament to the band’s love of their homeland and fans.
Throughout my high school years I listened to a few bands religiously. 36 Crazyfists was one of these; my favorite albums being Bitterness The Star and A Snow Capped Romance. To this day I remain a huge fan of the band and am still excited when I hear about new material On July 27, 2010 36 Crazyfists released their fifth album Collisions And Castaways. As soon as I got a copy I was listening to it.
Bad News is Ligeia’s second record and sadly many Ligeia fans where disappointed with it. That said, I AM a Ligeia fan and I have to say I was NOT let down by the CD at all.
With bands out there these days like Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Poison The Well and All That Remains, it’s only right that Springfield, Massachusetts’ own Ligeia make the same impact on fans all around the world. This is a band that is fresh to the scene and has an amazing sound. This is one of those bands you hear and say to yourself, “right on! These guys really deserve it just as much as anyone else!”
