Viranesir is a dark metal project created by the Yayla mastermind Emir Toğrul. Originally created to be the solo project of the fictional main character in the film “Drink From The Fountain Of Uncertainty”, the project is releasing the soundtrack as its debut album Fountain Of Uncertainty through Merdumgiriz Records June 21st.
Dreams of Dystopia is the debut EP from Phoenix-based band PsychoBliss, a duo composed of Dan Stollings and Kyla Pavelski. The twosome describes themselves as both dark metal and “depressive black metal” and while those descriptions may be correct to a degree, they really don’t represent what PsychoBliss actually is.
Psychobliss is a Phoenix-based band that’s rooted in black metal. The group incorporates themes from goth and death metal as well. The band’s debut EP Dreams of Dystopia will soon be available on cassette through Tridroid Records.
This album by France’s Ysengrin is not something that will appeal to everyone. In fact, I would even dare to guess it won’t go very far in the underground. Frankly this is one of those rare bands that are so far off the beaten path that people will either love it, or hate it.
I recently had a chance to speak to the members of the Czech Republic based band Inner Fear. For more than 14 years now the band has dishing out their unique style of dark metal and they are putting the finishing touches in their newest disc as we speak. Here is how the conversation went.
Into Night’s Requiem Infernal is a very interesting and intriguing disc indeed. I think the best way to describe it is as a hybrid of sorts. There are elements of stoner metal, death metal and even a touch of a phsycadelic influence. This combination may seem a bit odd, but honestly, it seems to work quite well.
