On April 1st, 2016 Black Stone Cherry will release their 13-song album, Kentucky, via Mascot Label Group. Recently, in the UK, we caught up with drummer John Fred Young who discussed the new album, recording, new writing techniques, 2016 touring plans, their 10 year anniversary and more!

Ever since Black Stone Cherry first hit the scene they’ve been rocking some big tours, sharing the stage with mega acts the likes of Nickelback, Alter Bridge and Whitesnake to name a few. The Edmonton, KY-based quartet have already experienced a ton as musicians and it’s this maturity that’s found on their third full-length, Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea.

One of the most popular rock bands in the US over the last few months has been the southern quartet Black Stone Cherry.
