We caught up via email with Ollie Baxxter, lead vocalist of the Richmond, Virginia-based pop-punk quintet Broadside, to learn more about this budding band.
Hard rock fans are going to totally dig Ghosts, the new album from the renowned Canadian band, Big Wreck. This record, their first since 2012’s Albatross, is a melodic, riff-filled collection of tunes that forces the listener to move along.

Redlight King has released the official music video for the single “Times Are Hard” from the band’s sophomore release, ‘Irons in the Fire’, as the song hits Top 15 at Active Rock radio. “Times Are Hard” is a stirring track with emotional and moving lyrics penned by frontman Kaz, and brought to life in the video which was directed by Strati Hovartos and produced by John Oakes. “Times Are Hard” is the follow-up to the rock radio hit “Born to Rise,” the first single Irons in the Fire, which was tagged as the end title credit for the feature film Draft Day, starring Kevin Costner.

Assaulting witnesses in both languages of French and English, Gatineau, QC death metal band Insurrection has announced they will be touring the following Canadian tour dates in support of their upcoming album ‘Prototype’ set for release October 15th via Canadian label Galy Records. ‘Prototype’ is their first crowd funded and third full-length album produced by Topon Das (Fuck The Facts) and is the follow up to 2010’s ‘Fracture’ and 2009’s ‘Prologue’, which gave first life to the band’s monstrosity. The band is premiering their second single off the release “Abbatoir” online.
Chicago’s experimental avant-drone trio Locrian have premiered the latest in a series of videos from their critically acclaimed new release ‘Return To Annihilation’. The clip for “Panorama of Mirrors” was directed by multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Terrence Hannum and can be viewed below. Los Angeles-based rock quartet Behind The Fallen have premiered their new single and music video entitled “You’re Just a Friend,” directed by Rival Tides vocalist Robyn August at Paradime Pix. The band released their debut EP ‘Pages of the Past’ today – produced by Erik Ron (Panic! at the Disco, I the Mighty, Versa Emerge). Upon releasing the album, the band will embark on a two-week tour of the Southwest – starting in Hollywood and wrapping up at The Glasshouse in Pomona, CA on September 7th.
After an intense Summer on the Vans Warped Tour and the release of their sophomore album, ‘Victim To Villain’, New Years Day have no plans of slowing down. The band is premiering the video for their single “Angel Eyes” featuring Chris Motionless from Motionless in White. Finnish hardcore heroes Unkind unveil their breathtaking new video for “Olemisen Pelko” today. Translated into English as ‘Fear of Being’, “Olemisen Pelko” is taken from sixth studio album ‘Pelon Juuret’ and the video was created by band member Pekka, who is credited as “sound and confusion” on the album; the master of synths and samples for the band. In addition, the band have confirmed a mammoth 23-date European tour supporting the mighty KEN mode.
