When Damion Suomi (Sue-me) stands before you on a slightly elevated stage you will find yourself wondering where exactly you heard the songs before that night, there is just something familiar about them; like they have always been inside you, but you never heard them actually sung before. Damion takes the stage as a nomad who just found his home again and will fight to stay in it as long as possible, empty and half empty beer bottles will surround him like a protective fence.

Turisas released one of the most thrilling albums of the year with their new battle metal masterpiece ‘Stand Up And Fight’. The new release also brought the band stateside once again, this time pillaging North America alongside Cradle of Filth, Nachtmystium and Daniel Lioneye. Now, the band has completed work on the first video to accompany the album’s title track.

Acclaimed musician, producer and misfit singer-songwriter Jim Bianco reached out to his loyal fan base to fund his third full-length album. The result is Loudmouth, out on April 5th. Down From Up is an American hard rock band from Knoxville, Tennessee. Guitarists Andy Wood and Matt Brewster, along with drummer Andy Campbell, started the band in 2004 while playing in a cover band together. Although several other members have come and gone since then, the one thing that remains constant is the band’s commitment to musicianship. However, it was the 2010 addition of Jordan Beach as lead vocalist that brought it all together.

You can watch two new live videos of The New Regime at Purevolume. The two tracks include the anthemic hard rock of “State Of Possession” and the more ethereal experimentation of “What Brings Us Down”. These videos showcase Rubin’s chops in a live setting, proving his talents extend far beyond the studio.

Duff and his gang have been building a sound full up with earthy ground and pound. Sure there’s an undeniable streak of the platinum level hookery and crookery that took Duff to the very top of the candy mountain. But more so, look for a trashing about with the likes of Johnny Thunders and Hanoi Rocks, rifled through with a cocked ear to what was best about churning hard-edged alt. and indie rock through the ’90s and noughts.
