What I remember from this interview day was that it was boiling hot outside; the total opposite from current weather conditions. I had just gotten to the venue dripping in sweat from walking there and pants were definitely a bad idea on this day! To get away from said heat, guitarist and vocalist Matt Goud and myself went to Second Cup to…

I know what you’re thinking… where did they come up with that name? Well my friends, Tickle Me Pink guitarist Joey Barba gives me the inside scoop on the background of the name and the state of life at which these guys have been pushed through. From dirt to sky, these dudes are flying high and their recent show at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Canada set them in my good books. Kudos to Crown & Dragon Pub beside…

Dillinger 4! These guys are more hilarious then you think! Recently on October 8th, while on tour with Punk Legends NOFX, we got a chance to sit down with this rad band and talk about… well just about everything. After 6 years on vacation, the band has finally released a long overdue new CD titled, “Civil War and are now touring all over in support thereof.

On June 22nd, 2008, Hardcore legends Hatebreed stopped through Toronto, Canada while co-headlining on the Jagermeister Music Tour. The Opera House was abuzz with happy fans and our Stoked interviewer Mitch Brown caught up with the legend himself, Jamey Jasta. Jamey had just woken up to do this interview, but was surprisingly astute. Once underway, Jamey talked about Hatebreed as well as his various other bands, project, record label and much more. What’s funny about the interview is that Mitch didn’t seem to mind the random cord dangling in his face throughout the interview… Oh well, at least Jamey got a kick out of it.

Hey everyone! On Tuesday, June 10th Too Pure To Die (a.k.a. TPTD) made their way across the border with For the Fallen Dreams and laid the smack down on Toronto. Paul wore dress pants and overalls for the set… his place of business, so I guess very fitting. I had a bomb time, and I’m stoked to hear their new album once they get it done. Anyways kids, I spoke with vocalist Paul Zurlo & guitarist Jordan Peterson about mucho…

At the beginning of the day it was said to allegedly rain until the night. The bad part about that news was that Mayhem was an outdoor show. Nevertheless, it was beautiful out all day and God shinned his light on the Christian boys of Underoath… when the ripped through their set with lighting. We caught up with screamer and guitarist Spencer Chamberlain, bassist Grant Brandell and and keyboardist Christopher Dudley and chatted…

Fuck the American Dream! Mayhem is where it’s at! PureGrainAudio spent a nutty day at this mega-festival and caught up with Walls of Jericho guitarist Mike Hasty at Downsview Park for the Rock Star Mayhem Tour. The interview was conducted just outside of Slipknot’s dressing room (which was pretty cool), and Mike dropped some knowledge on the new Walls’ CD, the American dream, and more.

08/08/08… what a date! 36 Crazyfists finally returned to Toronto, Canada and put on an extreme performance at Downsview Park for the 2008 Rockstar Mayhem Tour. In between sets, madness, and beers we caught up with 36 Crazyfists lead vocalist Brock Lindow, coincidentally, just steps away from the Slipknot, Disturbed, and Dragonforce dressing rooms. Despite the distractions, here’s what Brock had to say…

On May 14th, 2008, Motion City Soundtrack brought motion to our city of Toronto along with soundtracks off their most recent album titled Even If It Kills Me. Walking to the show was a drag because it was raining so hard, but once I got there the sun came out and things went smoothly. On the band’s dry bus I managed to catch up with bassist Matt Taylor and drummer Tony Thaxton. Check it out.

On May 10th, 2008, People in Planes came overseas to pay us a visit from Cardiff, Whales for a short week to do some promotion for themselves. I met up with them at the Spoke Club which is some fancy-ass club for people involved in media and entertainment. After the interview (where we spoke with vocalist Gareth Jones & guitarist Peter Roberts) I got to…

TORONTO! and all of you PureGrainAudio readers… I made my way to Belleville, Ontario to see Attack in Black open up for Sam Roberts and The Tragically Hip. There were 15,000 people at this outdoor event by the waterfront in Belleville. The place was packed, and the beer tent had a constant line the whole entire show. AIB brought the goods when they played an amazing set that day just shortly after the interview. I am…
