The ‘70s are alive and well at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. Monster Magnet was joined by Dead Feathers, Dark Sky Choir, and Electric Citizen for an evening of stoner rock.
Am I ready to Riot? Well let’s certainly hope so, as I headed to one of the best known and best run Chicago music fests – Riot Fest. This marks the 14th year of this fest in my hometown of Chicago.
The sound of Judas Priest and Deep Purple are unmistakable. And on August 22, at Tinley Park, IL’s Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre, these two monsters of sound dominated the night and made us remember why we love classic metal.
Reggie’s Live in Chicago is well known for the wide variety of performances, but specifically for supporting the death, speed and thrash metal scenes. We hit the venue for Havok’s North American tour supported by Bloodletter, Texas Toast Chainsaw Massacre, Extinction A.D. and Jungle Rot.
Divided Heaven delivered a kick-ass performance. I’d call them a real “working man’s band” giving the audience some punk-influenced, straight-forward rock and roll. Even after a van meltdown on way to St. Louis from Chicago, these guys didn’t shortchange us.
