With A Vengeance Release New Single & Video, “Oblivion”
With a Vengeance has released their new single “Oblivion” and accompanying music video, the first single from their new EP ‘Born To Survive.’
With A Vengeance released their new single “Oblivion” today, accompanied by an official music video directed by Michael Levine. The band features founding Bad Wolves members Tommy Vext and Chris Cain, plus former Bad Wolves bassist Kevin Creekman, alongside drummer Austin D’Amond and guitarist Xander Raymond Charles.
“Oblivion” hits with the blunt force of groove metal while pulling from the swagger and rhythmic vocal attack of early-2000s rap metal, anchored by a huge melodic chorus built for bigger audiences.
Lyrically, the song turns toward mental health and the complicated relationship between patients and psychiatric medicine, raising questions around informed consent, responsible treatment and unintended consequences.
Says vocalist Tommy Vext:
“‘Oblivion’ is about questioning what happens when something intended to help starts creating consequences of its own. It’s a serious subject, but we didn’t want to preach — we wanted to make a heavy, aggressive song with a massive chorus and let the video take the idea somewhere completely unhinged.”
The video does exactly that. Joe Letz of Lindemann appears as an unhinged mad scientist who captures, tortures and biologically reengineers the members of With A Vengeance, landing somewhere between a midnight horror movie and a pharmaceutical commercial gone catastrophically off script.
“Oblivion” serves as the opening statement from a band intent on establishing an identity entirely its own and is the first single from the upcoming Born To Survive EP, dropping October 30th, 2026.
