King of Cups Releases “As One Global Ghost” ft. Joey Phipps of Library of the Untold

King of Cups has released “As One Global Ghost,” featuring Joey Phipps of Library of the Untold, via Moosic Entertainment.

The collaboration came about in a way the band never expected. King of Cups originally wrote “As One Global Ghost” after being inspired by a discussion featuring Joey Phipps on Library of the Untold. After completing the song, the band decided to send it to Phipps. They did not expect a response.

King of Cups states:

“We know creators are busy and receive a lot of messages from people who appreciate their work. We would have been genuinely grateful just to get a small response from Joey. So when he wrote back and told us he loved the song, we were already stoked.”

Phipps asked to contribute vocals to the track. The band agreed, turning what began as a song inspired by someone they admired into an actual collaboration with him. They pushed the release back slightly to make room for Phipps’ contribution.

“As One Global Ghost” explores mortality, legacy, and the choices we make while we are here. The song asks what will remain of us when we are gone and what others will see when they look at the lives we lived and the choices we made.

At the center of the song is a question that remains deliberately unanswered: “What will they say when they look at our deeds?” The track combines melodic songwriting, aggressive guitars, live drums, layered vocals, and a dynamic studio production that reflects King of Cups’ genre-fluid approach.
