A New Day Bring Back 2000s Metalcore with Their New EP

Out of what feels like the home state of producing metalcore bands, Texas, A New Day have created a sound that combines the heaviness of traditional metalcore with a melodic tone and electronic textures that were typically found in the early 2000s metalcore movement with bands like A Long Winter, Hopesfall, and Broken by Silence.

A New Day debuted in 2025 with the So Close To Perfection… EP, but today they released their follow-up, Held Under An Incandescent Sky, now out through DAZE Records. This EP features five tracks, with all six members pushing the limits of their sound to create a unique, soul-crushing sound. From scathing growls to emotional cleans, feverish riffs, and layered synths, this EP has everything classic metalcore fans love.

Held Under An Incandescent Sky is available now on all streaming services, and you can order the merchandise and LP through DAZE.

Held Under An Incandescent Sky EP Tracklist:

1. The Carving Of…
