Tinfed Release “Rollerskates” Video from Newly Released ‘Designated Rivals Redux’
Alt-industrial band Tinfed has released a video for “Rollerskates” from their newly released ‘Designated Rivals Redux.’
Sacramento alt-industrial outfit Tinfed revisits the closing chapter in their discography with DESIGNATED RIVALS REDUX, out now via Minus Head Records.
The 18-song release features remixes and collaborations from the long out-of-print release, including “DANGERGIRL” featuring Chino Moreno, who was originally credited as C-Note, as well as the previously unreleased song “ROLLERSKATES.” A video for “ROLLERSKATES” has also been released.
Tinfed co-founder and current member of Deathvalleyhigh, Reyka Osburn Bigfeather comments:
“Rather than just revisiting the past, I wanted to give DESIGNATED RIVALS a treatment it always deserved. The new master and nitrous booster mixes open up the throttle on our industrialized soundscape. Songs like ‘DANGERGIRL’ and ‘CRYSTALLIZED’ can finally be heard at 600 bhp.”
Formed in Sacramento in 1992, Tinfed emerged from the city’s underground alongside peers including Deftones, Far, and Will Haven. Over three studio albums, the band continually evolved its sound, blending industrial, alternative rock, and electronic influences before releasing Designated Rivals in 2003 and subsequently disbanding.
The quartet featured Reyka Osburn Bigfeather (Deathvalleyhigh, Ghostride), Eric Stenman (Barbarians of California), Rick Verrett (Team Sleep), and Matt McCord (Tycho, Cake).
DESIGNATED RIVALS REDUX is available now. A limited offering of the original CD is available on Bandcamp while supplies last.
