Anticipation, excitement and all manner of other exalted emotions are reaching fever pitch as Dave Seaman’s long-awaited debut album hovers into view. This club-ready mix of the title track will only send those emotions stratospheric.

As with several of the album’s tracks, this beauty sees Dave Seaman’s past and present collide ceremoniously, as his 2015 single “Strobelight Symphony” is referenced (a single which itself took inspiration from the brilliant Superstars of Rock, signed to Dave Seaman’s ’90s imprint Stress Recordings). However, “Mirrorball Sleaze” is both 100 percent new and as current as humanly possible. It’s a brand-new retro track that only those with Dave Seaman’s level of knowledge and experience could pull off.

The Mirrorball Sleaze album’s achingly beautiful beatless version (aka the Freedrumapella) features and will no doubt soundtrack many a pre- or post-club session, sounding as if it’s just waltzed in from Dave’s legendary Back to Mine set from back in the day.

Dave Seaman’s own interpretation trips the light fantastic, both brooding and euphoric in equal measures; at home as both a party starter or a night closer. Take your pick. Meanwhile, the Tronic duo of mainman Christian Smith and label mate D-Shift team up for the peak time mix, melodic wonk of the highest order, with beats ‘n’ riffs ricocheting round speaker stacks with reckless abandon. All bases covered.
