Taking over the heart of the ByWard Market, the festival expands its footprint with more venues, more artists, and even more chaos across downtown Ottawa.

Supported by Ottawa Tourism, Capital Punishment Fest continues its mission to amplify Canada’s underground heavy‑music community, bringing together top national acts and rising local talent for three nights of high‑energy performances.

The third edition promises to be the festival’s biggest yet, offering more venues throughout the ByWard Market, more artists from across Canada’s underground, and chaos as the ByWard Market transforms into a multi‑stage heavy‑music takeover. Capital Punishment Fest is quickly becoming one of Ottawa’s most anticipated annual events for fans of loud, heavy, and boundary‑pushing music, with previous years hosting bands such as Blackguard, First Fragment, Lutharo, Spectral Wound, Martyr, Dopethrone, and more!
