Davey T Hamilton just dropped his brand new single, “Fast Cars and Loud Guitars” and it’s a hard-hitting rock song that marks the beginning of the next chapter of his career. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter plays guitar, drums, bass, and piano, and uses those instruments to blend Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Country, and Gospel into his own sound.

Years ago, Hamilton landed a publishing deal on Nashville’s Music Row and wrote with hitmakers like Walt Aldridge, Chris Gantry, David Malloy, and Josh Osborne. But record labels told him his music was “too old school and anthemic,” leading him to step away from the industry for several years.

Now, he’s back and doing things his own way. Hamilton wrote, produced, engineered, and mixed “Fast Cars and Loud Guitars” in his home studio, fully funding the project himself.

“The suits in Nashville told me my sound was too old school and anthemic. I went into the studio, turned the amplifiers up, and decided to prove them right!”, Hamilton says.

The song is built around big guitars, big hooks, and a classic rock feel. Lyrics like, “Fast cars and loud guitars / He’s always in overdrive / Fast cars and loud guitars / That’s what keeps him alive,” capture the energy of the track.

“Fast Cars and Loud Guitars” shows that Davey T Hamilton is back, and he’s making music on his own terms.
