Mouseoleum Announces Upcoming Instrumental EP, ‘Mouse of the Day’

Experimental Industrial project Mouseoleum has officially announced the upcoming release of its genre-bending new instrumental EP, Mouse of the Day, scheduled to hit all major streaming platforms on June 28th. Heavily influenced by the abrasive textures and unyielding ethos of acts like Godflesh, Death Grips, Nine Inch Nails, and Aphex Twin, Mouseoleum’s music is built around dense sampling and immersive sound design to craft vivid narratives.

Packing ten dense instrumentals into a tight 11-minute runtime, Mouse of the Day is an eclectic amalgam of post-industrial, noise rock, DnB, industrial hip-hop, and more. Driven by a dark, industrial undercurrent, the project explores many different styles while still feeling like one explosive project.

While entirely instrumental, Mouse of the Day follows a unique narrative. The EP tracks the harrowing story of an idealistic reporter mouse who risks his life to expose the dark wartime exploitation by a corrupt weapons-manufacturing company known as “Blockcheese Martin.” The music mirrors this frantic journey; starting with a determined forward drive, the tracks progressively devolve into noisy, confrontational, and deeply abrasive textures as the protagonist is systematically hunted down and snuffed out.
